see用作及物动词时，可接名词、代词、带疑问词的动词不定式、that从句或由疑问词引导的从句作宾语。有时也可接与see不同形的同源宾语。see还可接以as短语、动词不定式、名词、动名词、形容词、副词、介词短语或现在分词，过去分词充当补足语的复合宾语。接动词不定式作补足语时，不带to，但如果用于被动结构则不能省略to。
1.（不用于进行时）看见；见到；看出
如：Did you see what happened?
你看见出什么事了吗？
2.看得见；看；有视力
如：It was getting dark and I couldn't see to read.
天色黑下来，我看不成书了。
3.观看（比赛、电视节目、演出等）
如：In the evening we went to see a movie.
晚上，我们去看了一场电影。
4.遇见；碰到；邂逅
如：Guess who I saw at the party last night!
你猜猜，昨天我在晚会上碰见谁了！
5.拜访；看望；探视
如：Come and see us again soon.
早点再来看我们。
6.与（某人）待在一起；交往
如：They've been seeing a lot of each other recently.
他们近来老泡在一起。
7.理解；明白；领会
如：I don't think she saw the point of the story.
我觉得她没有领会故事的中心意思。
8.（不用于进行时）设想；想象
如：I can't see her changing her mind.
我无法想象她会改变主意。
9.经历；遭受
如：He has seen a great deal in his long life.
他在漫长的一生中经历了许多事情。
